What we do

Established in early 2011 on Waiheke Island, the Holiday Helpers Network is a not-for-profit group of individuals, businesses and organisations that cooperates to provide free leisure and respite experiences to families with seriously ill or recently bereaved children. To see our full list of Helpers click here.

Our goal is to make these experiences a reality for as many deserving families as possible, drawing on the innate generosity and empathy of New Zealanders, and the special opportunities Waiheke Island has to offer.

Due to our local knowledge and love of beautiful Waiheke Island, we use the Island as a base for all our holidays (35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland).

We are proud to work in conjunction with the following charities:

If you would like to join our network of helpers, please contact us.

UntitledPlease note we can only consider families for an HHN experience via referral from the IDFNZ KIDS Foundation of New Zealand (IDFNZ). So, if you and your family would like to be considered, please contact Janet Simons at IDFNZ (gm@idfnz.org.nz) and we will take it from there.
